Whether you’re drawn to representation or abstraction, this class will demonstrate the interconnection between both. We will explore the expressive qualities of a variety of materials (pastel, paint, drawing materials), focusing on color and light, drawing, brushwork, texture and composition. Demonstrations with traditional and experimental techniques will encourage students to examine subject matter in a new way.
