Students learn basic drawing and painting techniques, elements of line, composition, color, volume, and perspective. Beginning painters learn about color theory and mixing, handling paint, composition, and basic techniques. More advanced students hone their skills through painting from real life as well as copying other artists’ work. Drawing II students explore line, tone, and perspective with an emphasis on composition. Demonstrations and individual instruction are given.
