Tuesday Night at the Movies: Hold Back the Dawn

Stopped in Mexico by US Immigration, gigolo Georges (Charles Boyer) is looking for a woman who will help him get a green card. He charms schoolteacher Emmy (Olivia de Havilland) and they are married within a few days. The charade gets complicated when Georges begins to fall in love with Emmy, angering his girlfriend, Anita (Paulette Goddard), and jeopardizing the scheme.
