A Genevan physician, Revilliod was also an early activist in promoting Switzerland's support of a European union for world peace in 1939-1940. His wife, Olga Masaryk, was the daughter of Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk, first President of Czechoslovakia and the subject of several portraits by Oakley.
