[bottom left in graphite]: Mr. and Mrs. Garabed Hovnanian
The woman depicted is likely Hovnavian's second wife, Louise (1869-1966), who was 25 years his senior. Both Garabed and his first wife Beryl (b. 1893) were Christian Scientists. They were married from 1933 until her death in 1944 at the age of fifty. She is buried with her first husband, Louis Rosenau, at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Philadelphia. Although Garabed and Louise both died in Kansas City, Missouri, they, too, were interred in different states (Missouri and New York, respectively).
