Made by girls from the Carson Valley Children’s Aid School (CVCA), the artwork in this exhibition resonates with visual and poetic narratives of inspiration and hope. The exhibition was co-curated by the girls who created the art, with the guidance and collaboration of Lisa Kay, an art educator/art therapist at Temple University’s Tyler School of Art, and CVCA educators Denise Wolf and Bill Gerhard.
Ellwood School: A Year in Art

Each year at Ellwood School, a public elementary school in Philadelphia’s Oak Lane neighborhood, students explore new methods and materials for making art. This exhibition celebrates their artistic explorations over the course of the school year, led by art teacher Pamela Toller. The show features colorful prints, drawings, and paintings that display the development of each child’s creative and technical skills.
