PhilARTdelphia: Young Artists at Woodmere
PhilARTdelphia: Young Artists at Woodmere features the creativity and imagination of young artists in the region who have participated in art making classes through the Museum's studio and school programs. The artworks on display are created by students from pre-school through high school who have been inspired by Woodmere's exhibitions and collection.
Woodmere's art making programs are designed as a way of learning that develops each child's understanding of their world and themselves. Under the guidance and encouragement of the Museum's art educators, young artists engage in a variety of art materials and processes that foster experimentation, perseverance, and flexibility. The drawings, paintings, collage, and sculptures on exhibit are the result of these experiences.
