About the Exhibition

A partnership between Philadelphia area schools, MANNA, and Woodmere Art Museum.

This is the thirtieth anniversary of Woodmere Art Museum’s annual exhibition, KIDS CARE, a program in which children from schools across the Philadelphia region create art works as holiday gifts for people homebound with chronic illnesses. At the end of the exhibition, artworks will be wrapped and delivered by MANNA (the Metropolitan Area Neighborhood Nutrition Alliance) along with a holiday meal to people battling life-threatening illnesses.

This year’s theme, Colors, Creatures & Stories in Dreams, is presented in conjunction with Woodmere’s special exhibition, Barbara Bullock: Fearless Vision. Bullock’s vibrant colors and artworks of unique visual storytelling have served as the inspiration for the students’ art.

Over the years, Kids Care has touched the hearts of thousands of people in the Philadelphia area, helping to make them feel part of a larger community and one that demonstrates how much “kids care.” Thank you to all the teachers and project leaders who have given their time, generosity, and encouragement to their students for the artwork on display.

This year's theme, Colors, Creatures & Stories in Dreams, is in conjunction with Woodmere’s exhibition, Barbara Bullock: Fearless Vision. Bullock’s art is inspired by the mythology and culture of African art.
