6 | Conversations in Drawing and Paint

Between reality and abstraction, lies expressionism, a way of approaching subject matter with an emotional freedom that pushes the conversation of real and imagined. The figure, landscape and still life will be used as a springboard for drawing and painting and developing your own distinct style. This class will open your eyes to new ways of exploring composition through line, shape, color, value and texture and to mixing materials such as charcoal, watercolor, ink, oil and acrylic paint with one another. We will start classes with quick sketches to help with drawing skills and to organize one’s painting into a unified composition.
