Virtuoso pianist Marja Kaisla opens our classical season with Tchaikovsky’s beautiful piano cycle, The Seasons, a collection of twelve piano pieces, each one representing a month of the year. It will be followed by one of Ravel’s most personal compositions, Le Tombeau de Couperin, dedicated to the memory of friends who died in World War I. Born in Helsinki, Kaisla has performed extensively in Europe and the United States, having had her Carnegie Hall debut in 2005.
