3:00 pm
Online via Zoom

Lecturer: David Bindman, guest curator, Emeritus Professor of the History of Art, University College, London and Fellow of The Hutchins Center, Harvard University

David Bindman, the curator of Body Language: The Art of Larry Day, had a long-standing friendship with the artist. He will share insights about Day's reflective process as his work evolved from abstraction into the "ironic realism" of his figurative and architectural paintings to his later mysterious narrative drawings and series. He will also discuss Day's deep engagement with the history of art, philosophy, and literature and how this influenced his art.
