Artist Marta Sanchez brings the Mexican tradition of cascarones to Woodmere! Cascarones are brightly decorated, confetti-filled eggshells used in Mexican American celebrations for Easter. Children will decorate the eggshells with paint, markers, and glitter while practicing the joyful tradition of cracking the eggs over others' heads. The tradition believes that as the confetti spills out from the cracked eggshells, the cascarones will bring good luck.
