Two styles of music that stirred controversy: Jazz icon and pianist Thelonious Monk played his soul in a unique, improvisational way; and a group of English teens composed and performed a new brand of melodies and rock n'roll that inspired music fans. Pianist Jim Holton and guitarist Frank Butrey put together the music of these innovators with exciting results.
