Imaginary Garden Opening Reception

Families and friends are invited to celebrate the art and creativity of the students involved in Woodmere Art Museum's 2020 Summer Community Art Project: Imaginary Garden! Students used recycled materials and mixed media to explore the natural world around them and created a fantastical environment of plants, insects, and wildlife. 

Since 2006, children ranging in age from 8-17 years old come from various communities in Philadelphia participate in a unique art making experience.  Working alongside professional artists, students collaboratively design and construct an outdoor art installation that is incorporated into Woodmere’s Children’s Butterfly Garden.
