Woodmere Art Museum Studio
This dynamic class offers a balance of instruction and guided mentorship, helping teenagers develop their unique artistic style. Students will strengthen their skills in color, drawing, and composition while exploring a variety of materials, including acrylics, charcoal, pen and ink, watercolor, and oil pastels. They will explore both representation and abstraction to enhance their artistic voice.
Through observation-based drawing, students will work on a still life using charcoal, pencils, and inks and enjoy painting outdoors in Woodmere’s beautiful gardens. Sketchbook studies, composition, and color mixing will be part of the daily curriculum, providing a strong foundation for artistic growth. Students will have the opportunity to build a portfolio and deepen their creative expression.
