Since 2006, children ranging in age from 8-17 years old come from various communities in Philadelphia participate in a unique art making experience.  Working alongside professional artists, students collaboratively design and construct an outdoor art installation that is incorporated into Woodmere’s Children’s Butterfly Garden.

The theme for this year’s Community Art Project is Imaginary Garden. Through the use of recycled materials and mixed media, students will explore the natural world around them to create a fantastical environment of plants, insects, and wildlife.

Woodmere is grateful to the generous supporters who have helped underwrite expenses for this program.
