Join us for an exciting art class for children and teens where we’ll create an immersive installation inspired by Wissahickon Valley Park! Young artists will explore the vibrant ecosystem of the Wissahickon forest—discovering its trees, plants, animals, and landforms—while experimenting with a variety of artistic techniques and materials and honing their artistic vision and skills. From representational and abstract drawing to large-scale sculpture, recycled materials, and textiles, students will develop their creativity both independently and through collaborative projects.

Students’ artworks will be showcased in Walk in the Wissahickon, an immersive, floor-to-ceiling exhibition in Woodmere’s Helen Millard Gallery this fall. In addition, there will be plenty of time and support for individual portfolio projects and personal artistic explorations!
