Noon-2 pm: Artmaking and Storytelling
Artmaking projects and storytelling will honor the words and legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr., Harriet Tubman, Frederick Douglass, Rosa Parks, Jackie Robinson, Ruby Bridges and others to celebrate the courage and determination needed in the struggle for freedom and civil rights.
2 pm: Hip-Hop Fundamentals
Experience the power of unity and diversity through dance, audience participation, and activities with Hip Hop Fundamentals, a professional team of Breakdancers. Learn about student involvement in the Civil Rights Movement and how non-violent action helped end segregation.
