Screening of Angel Dose with Rep. Tarik Khan

 

Angel Dose is an urgent and intimate short documentary from Oscar-nominated filmmaker Sami Khan about Tarik Khan, a Muslim-American nurse, racing against time to deliver expiring vaccines across Philadelphia to homebound patients before the doses would spoil. But with the 2022 midterms looming, the cheerful and ever-optimistic Tarik soon realized that to actually address systemic biases in healthcare, he would have to change policy. This realization led him to run for political office and eventually winning a seat in the Pennsylvania State House.
