K8 | Create a Rainforest (Outside & In-Studio)

Come create a rainforest! Our creations will become part of an installation in Woodmere’s Millard Children’s Gallery titled Walk in the Rainforest that will open in September. We will make all the rainforest's layers, from the forest floor to the overstory, with the plants and animals that inhabit each one.

Draw and paint, make sculpture and origami, and discover other possibilities along the way! The rainforest will be our constant guide, teacher, and inspiration. Participants will experience the fun of transforming recycled materials and art materials into all kinds of living things and can work independently or collaboratively.

Class will be outside with social distancing or inside the studio depending on the air quality. Please contact the education department if a younger child would like to attend.
