Teacher Workshop | Inspiring Creativity Through Abstraction

04/05/25
10:00 am
1:00 pm
Woodmere Art Museum Studio
Gain practical strategies to bring 2-D and 3-D abstraction into your classroom to encourage your students’ creativity and critical thinking.

Inspired by the dynamic work of Philadelphia artist Dina Wind, you‘ll experiment with materials and techniques that include paper, cardboard, and found objects. Her son, artist John Wind, will be present to discuss Dina’s work and process.

Wind’s practice was rooted in abstract expressionism. She was often inspired by found objects, particularly scrap metal, and the process of transforming materials into assemblages that she called “drawings in space.”

Lesson plans and teaching resources will be provided for classroom use.

Registration is required. Space is limited. Provides 3 Act 48 Hours.
