The French Baroque harpsichord repertoire is known for its unique delicacy and beauty. Adam Pearl performs harpsichord solos from the late baroque period by Claude-Bénigne Balbastre (harpsichord teacher to Thomas Jefferson’s daughters while in Paris), Élisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre, Jacques Duphly, and François Couperin. and talks about why this music lives as viscerally today as it did centuries ago.
