Join Woodmere Assistant Curator Rachel McCay on a tour of Violet Oakley’s Great Women of the Bible murals in the Pastoral Aid Room of the First Presbyterian Church in Germantown. Known for her murals as well as her political activism for peace and women’s rights, Oakley chose “Great Women of the Bible” as her focus and completed them in 1949, at age seventy-five.
