Artists have been inspired by animals since the beginning of time. Woodmere's exhibition, Don't Feed the Art: Woodmere's Animal Menagerie offers children and adults many ways to enjoy animals through the eyes of artists. Each session will spotlight a specific artist, work of art and animal while introducing drawing, coloring or collaging techniques. Parents, friends, caregivers, and pets are invited.
Suggested materials list for every class:
- Crayons, colored pencils and/or markers
- Pencils and erasers
- Collaging materials: construction paper, assorted colors; colorful scraps of found paper with patterns; pictures
- Scissors, glue sticks or white/school glue.
- White or “light “colored drawing paper or printer paper 8.5 x 11" or larger.
- Your imagination!
