Kids Care 32: Musical Storytelling in Art

11/15/2025
12/21/2025

About the Exhibition

Woodmere’s annual exhibition, KIDS CARE, invites children from schools across the Philadelphia region to create art works as holiday gifts for people battling serious illnesses. After the exhibition closes, artworks are wrapped and delivered by MANNA (the Metropolitan Area Neighborhood Nutrition Alliance) along with a holiday meal bringing encouragement and a sense of community to each recipient.

This year’s theme, "Musical Storytelling in Art," draws inspiration from the beautiful watercolors of award winning illustrator, Jerry Pinkney, and his musical storytelling artworks featured in Woodmere’s exhibition, Soul, Sound and Voice. The exhibition celebrates how the lyricism and spiritual power of music shaped his creative vision.

KIDS CARE has touched the hearts of thousands of people in the Philadelphia area, helping to make them feel part of a larger community and one that demonstrates how much “kids care.” Thank you to the teachers and project leaders who have given their time, guidance, and encouragement to their students.
