33 x 41 in.A winter scene is depicted with an icy creek in Addingham, Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, surrounded by snow-covered banks. Buildings sit farther up among barren trees, one likely a mill, emitting smoke and steam from chimneys. The chilly landscape is bathed in a warm sunlight that does not reach down past the banks of the creek. More homes can be seen in the far right. Addingham’s creek was the subject of another of Wagner’s works, as well as a piece by Antonio Pietro Martino.
