Hankins, Abraham P.
Hankins emigrated from Russia to Philadelphia at age ten. He studied at the Philadelphia Museum School of Industrial Art (now University of the Arts); the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA); and the Académie Julian, Paris. Hankins had an active career in printmaking. He taught at PAFA and the Barnes Foundation, and his work is in the collections of PAFA; the National Gallery of Art, Washington, DC; the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; the Philadelphia Museum of Art; and the Barnes Foundation.
