6 1/2" x 8 3/4"In this drypoint, Albert Gold portrays a sleeping man leaning against a wall. Dressed in a three-piece suit, the man appears dignified and oblivious to those around him. His situation is ambiguous: is he unwell, homeless, or just taking an afternoon snooze? This lithograph inspired Gold’s painting of the same subject, in which he situated the man on the steps of a building.
