Museum purchase, 1994Dimensions
11 3/4 x 24 in.Inspired by a painting completed by Maitin’s young niece, this complex print incorporates four colors and uses multiple printmaking techniques. Here he combines biomorphic forms, including a banana, with simplified lines that suggest a still life arranged on a table. However, the use of scale and the expanse of pink add to the ambiguity of the space.
