Vocalist Roy Richardson performs with The Arpeggio Jazz Ensemble and brings to life the rich, baritone voice of Isaac Hayes. Known as a landmark in soul music, Hayes could convey the power of romantic reality, making him one of the most appealing of love balladeers. He was also a prolific composer, arranger, and orchestrator whose soundtrack for the movie “Shaft" won an Academy Award.
