Galuszka received a MFA from Temple University's Tyler School of Art in 1972. He also studied at Syracuse University and from 1969 to 1970 was a Fulbright scholar in Romania. He taught at the University of the Arts from 1974 to 1995. From 1988 to 1992, Galuszka served on the Philadelphia Art Commission. He has also served in teaching positions at Vermont College of Norwich University in Montpelier, the Studio School of Painting and Sculpture in New York, Tyler School of Art (Rome and Philadelphia), the Louisiana Tech Studies Center in Rome, the Aegean School of Fine Arts in Greece, and the University of California, Santa Cruz. His work has been shown in group exhibitions at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and Woodmere Art Museum, among others.
