Vetheuil Daffodil Yellow is a visual journey of warm color and sensual painterly gestures. Translucent layers of fragmented shapes seem to communicate with one another, creating subtle relationships across the painting. Lines and marks in a mostly vertical direction make the painting look as if the flowers were growing from the bottom of the canvas.
